Delayed Alert: EVOLVE

The multiplayer shooter is seeing a four-month delay now slated for a February 10, 2015 release date originally set for October 21, 2014.

The new title from Turtle Rock Studios and Take-Two Interactive announced the delay in the company's first quarter 2015 earnings release.

They stated that the delay was needed to "allow enough time to fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence."

Evolve joins a growing list of big-name games to get bumped to 2015. EA recently delayed Battlefield Hardline to next year, and Warner Bros. pushed Batman:Arkham Knight to 2015 back in June. In addition, Sony delayed The Order: 1886 right before E3 and CD Projekt Red shifted the release of The Witcher 3 to 2015 earlier this year as well.

Evolve was definitely one of the games on my midnight release pick up list, so I am kind of bummed it has been set back but hopefully the added time allows it to be even better than I expected.
