Xbox One 'Disk Drive Issues' and No Clear Solution

If you got an Xbox One this weekend and your disc drive isn't working, Microsoft has no answer for you yet—they say to contact their customer service people for help.

Microsoft doesn't have a fix yet for the issue, which has caused Xbox One Blu-ray drives to make a horrible grinding noise when they try to read discs. It's not clear just how many Xbox Ones are affected.
A comment about the issue from Microsoft...

PS4 'Blue Light of Death' and No Fix Yet

A number of PlayStation 4 owners appear to have non-functional units that all suffer the same problem, a so-called blue light—or blue pulse—of death. It's unknown how many but we assume it's a small but noteworthy minority.

All weekend long, plunge into a special Social Club Event Playlist of brand new Jobs from the freshly landed Beach Bum Pack, a hand-picked selection of ten of Rockstar's favorite new Jobs. The best performers in the Social Club Event Playlist on each platform will score themselves a special vanity license plate reward for bragging rights and to commemorate their achievement.
In Free Roam, look out for an influx of special Event Crate Drops dropping frequently all weekend containing more than double the usual amount of RP plus high-powered weapons, bonus cash and clothing. They'll be unlocked for every player to help you pack more than just sunscreen on the blazing sands.

Playstation 4 sold 1 million units in first day

PlayStation 4 sales reached the 1 million mark within the console's first 24 hours at retail, Sony announced this morning. The PS4 launched in North America on November 15, so that figure is restricted to the US & Canada; the console comes to Europe on November 29, and Japan on February 22, 2014.

SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton is predicting 3 million sales by the end of the year, and with the European launch to come, that's looking increasingly realistic. Sony targets that figure to rise to 5 million by the close of the company's fiscal year in March 2014, by which point the console will have reached Japan.

According to data gatherer NPD, Sony only sold 197,000 PS3 units to the US in its first two weeks of availability, with shortages of supply to blame. Around this time last year, the Wii U sold 425,000 units in the US within its first week at retail, with Nintendo going on to ship 3 million units worldwide by the end of 2012.

The Xbox One Tour

This past week has been surreal! Of course you guys are aware that the next generation of consoles is upon us (11-15-13 for PS4 and 11-22-13 for XB1) so there has been many press events and meet and greets to get everyone excited. So the Xbox team created a tour that would visit 75 different cities throughout the world. You'd have a chance to play the new console and games before anyone else! I was fortunate enough to attend the Xbox One tour at their stop on November 7th in Scottsdale, Arizona.
