Hasbro Game Channel Announcement Trailer

With an all new overhaul of our favorite games, this September 2014, Hasbro will be releasing the all new Game Channel with games Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit and Risk being shown in the trailer above. Online play is also mentioned and we know that just takes the fun to a whole new level!

I'm excited to check it out what about you guys?

Mario Drives a Benz? Who would've thought...

While playing Mario Kart, have you ever said to yourself, "Hey man, I wish I could drive a Mercedes-Benz on this track instead of this go cart". I'm sure we all have, LOL. If you're that guy then your dreams of Mario karting in a Benz have finally come to life!

In what seems to be one of the most unexpected racing game collaborations of 2014. Nintendo will be releasing a free Mercedes-Benz DLC for Mario Kart 8 on August 27th.

Nyko Controller Charging Docks (XB1/PS4)

THIS FALL Nyko is bringing console-mountable charging docks to next gen consoles.

They are specifically designed to rest on top of the respective consoles, giving a clean and unified look while making sure your controllers don't run out of juice. The units both fit two controllers and used along side Nyko's Intercooler and Modular Power Station attachments.

They plug directly into the consoles USB ports for power and an LED light keeps you posted on the charging status.

Those who pick up the Xbox One version will also get two NiMH rechargeable batteries, which Nyko claims provide up to 25 hours of game time.

Nyko's Modular Charge Station for the Playstation 4 will cost $20 USD and the Xbox One model will be priced at $30 USB when they launch this fall.

Delayed Alert: EVOLVE

The multiplayer shooter is seeing a four-month delay now slated for a February 10, 2015 release date originally set for October 21, 2014.

The new title from Turtle Rock Studios and Take-Two Interactive announced the delay in the company's first quarter 2015 earnings release.

FEATURE: Dualshock 4 Lightbar Decals

Sony changed the game with the design of their Playstation 4 Dualshock controller. The PS4 controller features a light bar at the top of the controller that changes color based upon the in gaming events displayed on the screen. It may display a color to signify which player number you are or it may change colors to signify if your character is good or evil as it does in the game Infamous: Second Son. The light bar also gives the PS4 controller an aesthetic cool factor that separates it from other gaming consoles.

August 2014 Xbox Live Games w/ Gold

For the month of August, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to two new free games on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Strike Suit Zero and Crimson Dragon will become free downloads on August 1st, replacing current Xbox One Games with Gold titles  Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Now is a good time download those two if you haven’t already.

On Xbox 360, starting Friday, August 1st, Motocross Madness (normally US $9.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through August 15th.

Then on August 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Dishonored (normally US $19.99) for free through August 31st.

New GameStop Credit Card

So GameStop is looking to stay afloat and relevant by any means necessary and I actually think this new idea may do the trick! They are reportedly introducing a new credit card that will tie in directly with their current PowerUp Rewards program.

The primary incentive for signing up is 5,000 bonus points for PowerUp Basic members and 15,000 bonus points for PowerUp Pro members. Also noted are exclusive offers to cardholders.

Now here is the catch, the interest rate for the credit card will be 26.99 percent - about double the current market average of 13 percent. Here is a photo which looks to be marketing materials for the credit card:
I for one think it's a great idea! Buy a new gaming console and pay it down over a few weeks, heck yeah! But be careful because that interest will come back and bite you and have you paying for 3-4 consoles when it's all said and done.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?
